Christmas Day

Merry Christmas! As the kids get older things start changing a little. Instead of being woken up by my children on Christmas morning to see what Santa had brought them, I was the first one out of bed and waited almost an hour for one of the kids to get up!! And of course, we now buy some Christmas presents (clothes) with the help of the kids, before Christmas. This keeps me from visiting the same stores twice...once before Christmas and once after! But, don't worry there were still a few surprises for Christmas. Jessica was so excited to get a GPS and Brannon got Guitar Hero for his PlayStation 2. Things have definitely changed from when they were younger, I didn't even have to stay up all night trying to put something together!!! :)

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was great as usual. We spent time with family and watched as the kids excitedly ripped into their Christmas presents. It's so great to see everyone together, especially during the holidays. We love all of you!!!

Christmas with Daddy & Kay

It was great getting to see Daddy and Kay. We enjoyed great food and great company. The kids especially enjoyed getting to spend time with each other, if there running and laughing was any indication! It was also wonderful for them to be able to spend some time with Poppy and Kay-Kay.

Cindy's Christmas Party

Cookie Day 2008

Cookie Day was a lot of fun as usual! All the kids had a great time cutting and decorating all the cookies. It's especially fun to see how much fun the younger kids have and how much of the icing ends up on them instead of the cookies!!

Happy Sweet 16, Jessica!

So, today was Jessica's 16th Birthday. Wow, I can't believe my baby has grown up so fast! Lee and I are so proud of her and love her so much!

We gave her a birthday card with the picture of her car inside and as soon as she realized it was "HER" car, she took off running outside with hair unfixed, no make-up and no shoes or socks! And for those of you who know Jessica well, this is not like her. She would normally die before walking outside the way she did. But the smile on her face was the only thing that mattered. She is so happy and so proud of her car. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving was a great time as usual. We enjoyed spending time with our families and I'm so very thankful that each of us is so blessed.

VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!!

I got to take my first trip to Las Vegas this year! The NAWIC National Convention was there, so it was just the girls. We left on Saturday, August 30th and came back on Saturday, September 6th. We visited the Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, several of the other casinos and clubs and of course I got to dance on the bar at Coyote Ugly! We had a great time, but I was ready to get back home so I could rest! Getting a lot of sleep while we were there wasn't an option. Next time, I think 3 or 4 days will be enough!

Chili Cook-Off

My company participated in a Chili Cook-Off at Sloss Furnace last Friday. Of course, that was day the weather was so bad. We were having fun and getting a little wet, until about 4:00 that afternoon when Mother Nature decided to really let loose. Our tent was destroyed, but we were able to save most of our belongings and of course we were all okay!

I'm An Aunt Again!!

Wyatt Lewis Williams was born on April 2, 2008 weighing in at 6lbs. 10oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. Mom & baby are doing fine and big sister in her own words said "My baby, I'm so excited." Let's just hope she feels the same way when Wyatt comes home!

Sips N' Strokes

Girls Night Out was a blast this month. We decided to try something a little different. We went to Sips N' Strokes where we can not only enjoy a drink and hang out together, but we also got to find out that we all have "SOME" artistic ability. We all had a great time and I can't wait to do it again!

Basketball Banquet

The Girls Basketball Banquet was held Tuesday, March 4th. All of the girls were presented with certificates and many awards were given out. As you can see these girls are pretty close.

Baseball Is Back!

This past weekend was our first baseball tournament of the season. Brannon is playing for a team called the Buck Creek Bombers. They had a great start with a 1st Place finish in the Silver Bracket. Of course, as you can tell Brannon hates it when I pull out the camera!!

Girls Night Out!

We always have fun at GNO, but on this particular night we had a little more fun than usual!

Girls Weekend @ Lake Guntersville State Park

Most everyone knows that I'm a member of the National Association of Women in Construction. Once a year we all get together to hang out and have a good time, without having to worry about meetings. We had a great time!

SNOW DAY!!!

Believe it or not we actually had snow in Alabama! This is only the second time my children have seen real live snow and been able to play in it. Of course, Jessica was determined that she was building a snowman, which she named Billy! (Don't ask...I have no idea!)
